The Momentum Principle of Success…as it Applies to Your Health

In the book, Eat that Frog, Brian Tracy talks about the Momentum Principle of Success: “This principle says that although it may take tremendous amounts of energy to overcome inertia and get started initially, it then takes far less energy to keep going.”

Sometimes, the hardest part of reaching a goal is just getting started. Change is hard, change is uncomfortable, and people do not like change. And we really don't like being uncomfortable.

But only by getting uncomfortable and really pushing yourself, will you grow.

The first day of waking up when it's still dark out and putting on your sneakers to go for a walk or hit the gym is HARD.

The first time you say “no” to dessert or skip the extra glass of wine with dinner is tough.

Trust me, I get it! We ALL like a life of ease, and it's not easy or fun to start making changes.

But...Momentum carries momentum!

And when we repeatedly do a task, it gets easier and easier.

Let met tell yah now, If you know exactly how to reach your goals, or achieving 100% of your goals...they aren't big enough.
